From: Thomas L. Keon, Chancellor, and Chris Holford, Incoming Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Niaz Latif will return to his role as the dean of the College of Technology on May 11, 2019. Concurrent with this change, Niaz has agreed to serve as the Interim Dean of the College of Engineering and Sciences.

His priorities will include advancing the degree proposal to establish a doctorate degree in engineering as he works closely with the director and faculty members of the School of Engineering.  Additionally, Niaz will facilitate the development of undergraduate degree programs in the health sciences.

In addition to his recent role as Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Niaz has served PNW in many leadership capacities, including Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies. We deeply appreciate the contributions that Niaz has made over this past year, and we look forward to his continued service to PNW.

A national search will be launched in the fall for the position of Dean of the College of Engineering and Sciences.

Finally, we would like to thank Dr. Mohammad Zahraee for serving as the Interim Dean of the College of Technology.  Mohammad will return to his role as Associate Dean.
