Dr. Regina D. Biddings-Muro is the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement at Purdue University Northwest. In this role, she is responsible for Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, Alumni Relations and University Events.
Since being appointed Vice Chancellor in 2013, the Development unit has raised $10+ million. She also has spearheaded advancements in marketing the campus and communicating its messages across our region, state and beyond and has worked closely with Enrollment Management, helping market the university to prospective students.
She served as Interim Vice Chancellor of Advancement from June 2012 – July 2013.
Strengthening and Building Relationships
From June 2004 through June 2012, she served as Executive Assistant to the Chancellor for Engagement, where she was responsible for strengthening and building relationships with federal, state, regional and local officials who represent the regional communities surrounding the university in elected and appointed positions, as well as businesses and grassroots organizations that share an interest in the vitality and economic development of Northwest Indiana.
Leadership and Experience
Before joining Purdue University Northwest, Biddings-Muro was Director of Communications & Community Relations at Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO), the natural gas and electricity provider to 1.2 million customers in the northern third of Indiana and subsidiary communications coordinator for NiSource, NIPSCO’s parent company.
Biddings-Muro, an alumna of Purdue University Northwest, began her professional career at WJOB Radio Station while she was an undergraduate student and worked there as a news anchor, talk show producer and reporter for 10 years.
Biddings-Muro holds Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Communications from Purdue University. She graduated with a Doctoral degree in Higher Education from Benedictine University in 2015.
