SUMMARY:Fall 2026 Career Expo
DESCRIPTION:The PNW 2026 Spring Career Expo is a career fair for students and alumni of Purdue University Northwest who are seeking full-time employment and internships across all industries and academic majors. \nRegister to Attend on Handshake \nStudent/Alumni Information \n\nLocation: Hammond Campus\, Fitness and Recreation Center gymnasium\nPlan to dress appropriately when meeting with employers; first impressions count! This event is business casual attire preferred\, which means no jeans\, sweatpants\, shorts\, T-shirts\, sneakers\, ball caps and otherwise revealing attire. Clean and neat-looking apparel is recommended.\nResearch the employers that are listed before coming to this event. Employers expect you to sell yourself to them\, not the other way around\, so take some time and plan who you want to talk to and what you want to say. Practice your introduction.\nUtilize the Online Career Center in Brightspace to prepare and bring multiple copies of your resume to distribute to the employers that interest you the most and maybe a few more you meet that day.\n\nRemember to ask for business cards and follow through with a polite “thank you” email. \nYou are the heart of PNW\, so please be on your best behavior. We know you will do well. \nIf you have any questions or are unsure of any details\, contact the Career Center at thecareercenter@pnw.edu. It is our job to help you feel prepared! \nEmployer Information\n\nThe event will be held on our Hammond\, Indiana campus\, in the Fitness and Recreation (FRC) gymnasium\nPlease make sure you have all your employment openings posted in Handshake under Purdue Northwest BEFORE the event\, as job seekers will be referencing Handshake to see what openings you have.\nWhile the event is labeled “all majors\,” we do not recommend this event if you are seeking teacher candidates or nursing candidates\, as their field experiences have historically prevented them from attending this event. If you are seeking these types of candidates\, please contact us!\nWe may need to limit employers specifically recruiting for civil engineering and construction engineering and management technology due to not having the enrollment to support a large number of employer attendees for this industry.\nThis event is not open to third-party recruiting firms (unless approved by Career Center staff).\nPlease note table linens/coverings are NOT provided. You are welcome to bring your own.
