New Faculty Academy: Cultivating a Support Network
“There is no mentor guru”* and you are no exception. As faculty, we often feel the need to be an expert in every area of our jobs and/or find a mentor to guide us in all areas. Think again! Successful faculty remain teachable, surround themselves with a network of support, and hone their skills through continual mentorship of others. Join your PNW colleagues from all career stages and colleges for a unique mingling event. This structured event will allow you to share an area of expertise (ex: connecting with the community to create meaningful opportunities for students or facilitating engaging classroom discussions) and connect with peer experts in other areas (ex: completing successful research grants or transitioning to administrative roles). Whatever your current expertise or desired growth area, this event is for you!
Heavy appetizers will be served.
