Join us for a spirited discussion as panelists share experiences from varied areas of expertise in global engagement. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of macro and micro strategies to foster global engagement at PNW. These outcomes are achieved through curricula, co-curricula, and learning outcomes that build global competency among students that result in attractive alumni for any workforce.
The impact of internationalization on NW Indiana will be explored, in addition to the how the Office of Global Engagement delivers critical services for the university, including
- immigration services for students, faculty, and staff
- cross-cultural programming and activities for international and domestic audiences
- international recruitment
- a robust in-house English-as-a-second-language infrastructure
- coordination of international partnerships and risk-management efforts
The IMPACT Speaker Series promotes excellence in and fosters conversations across campus and community connected to one or more Honors College Pillars of Student Success: Leadership, Undergraduate Research, Engagement and Global Learning.
The fall 2018 lectures focus on social impact and are part of an experimental, Honors Cohort hybrid designed to inspire academic and professional planning for freshmen and sophomore students.
All lectures are free and open to the public.
