CIVS Kicks Off New Project for Hazard Awareness

CIVS is developing a series of interactive hazard awareness safety simulators with long-time collaborator Steel Dynamics. The project is using specialized 360-degree cameras to capture virtual reality video at locations around the mill and developing interactive software to show hazards in the area.

Additional features include a custom interface for users to identify hazards in the area, choose appropriate controls and learn about other safety information for that specific area. The simulators will be useful for new personnel and visitors to learn about hazardous areas before visiting in person.
