Marisa Gorski


Marisa Gorski is a fourth-year student double majoring in Behavioral Sciences and History. She is a recipient of the Macenski Scholarship in Behavioral Sciences, the Outstanding PNW Student Leader Award, and has had the honor of having research presented at the University of Wisconsin’s 4W and WGSC Conference be published in PNW’s Furnace publication. In addition to serving on the CHESS Student Advisory Board, she is the president of the Food Pantry Committee of PNW, a member of the Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society, and has been a Student Representative on the CHESS TIP Award Committee. During her time at PNW, Marisa has worked for Student Academic Support formally as a SI Leader, and currently as a Tutor and Peer Mentor. These various opportunities and experiences have assisted in shaping her research, communication and interpersonal skills, along with enforcing her passion for learning about different societies and cultures while considering the historical context. Upon completion of her bachelor’s degree, Marisa intends to apply and build upon her knowledge gained in university by working for a government agency or the U.S. Air Force.
