It is a pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the unified Purdue Northwest community. Purdue Northwest was created by bringing together two excellent universities and we are now the fifth largest public institution in Indiana. This is a very exciting time for us all and we are especially excited to have you here as a student!
This Student Handbook has been created for you as a resource and guidebook. It is a compilation of policies and procedures from important departments and offices at both the Hammond and Westville campuses. This Handbook will acquaint you with the rules and regulations of the university and will help you navigate on your path to earning your Purdue degree!
We have included information on tutoring services, names and locations of administrative offices, the Honor Code and academic dishonesty, student employment, financial aid, the Counseling Center, the Dean of Students Office and the Student Advocate, and the Disability Access Center. These offices and services are provided to you and we hope you will take advantage of them throughout your academic career.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
Best wishes for a positive and productive year!
Carmen Panlilio, Ph.D.
Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs
