Introduction
Susie brings her experiences as a journalist, public relations specialist, business owner, and educational aide to her position in the Disability Access Center. She started her career as a journalist covering Chicago crime and politics, and later transitioned into writing for a wide variety of not-for profits, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago, the Partnership to End Homelessness, and the Jane Addams Hull House Association. She has worked as a classroom aide for students of all abilities, and most recently was the library media aide at Morton High School, in Hammond. Susie received a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Denison University, and a certificate in grant writing from DePaul University.
Outside of work, Susie enjoys reading, biking, hiking and gardening, and hanging out with her three children and husband.
