About National First-Generation College Celebration

Did you know that 53% of incoming freshman in Fall 2021 self-identified as First-Generation College? PNW has the largest population of first-gen college students among all Purdue campuses.

Join TRIO and Educational Opportunity Programs as we celebrate first-generation college students, faculty and staff! National First-Generation College Celebration is November 8. This is the anniversary of the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965, which provided original funding for TRIO programs. The history of TRIO is progressive. Our programs are designed to reduce the education and income gap for low-income and underrepresented students.

Thank you for all you do to advance the success of our first-generation college students!
