RAD Defense Class – Hammond

Purdue University Northwest Police offer self defense training, via the R.A.D. Systems of Self Defense. These programs for women provide a holistic approach to learning about how to defend yourself. Each program includes lecture, discussion and strategies for resisting physical assault. The Hammond Campus will offer classes in Peregrine Hall.
The courses are taught by PNW Police personnel who are certified R.A.D. instructors. The programs are free of charge. The classes will take place on September 21, 28 and October 5 in Peregrine Hall 300.
Over 30 physical methods will be learned and each participant will be given an 80-page manual. Class size is at least 10 and no more than 16. R.A.D. requires attendance all three days.
You must be 13 years old or older to participate. Masks are required.

*Before upcoming classes, participants are required to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result within the last 72 hours prior to the scheduled class.
