Winter Recess

Purdue University Northwest will be closed Dec. 23, 2021 to Jan. 2, 2022 for winter recess. Explore updated hours and services below. We wish you a safe and relaxing holiday season!
Information Services Customer Service Center
The Customer Service Center will close at noon on December 22, 2021 and remain closed through January 3, 2022.
Fitness Centers
Explore updated winter recess hours for the Hammond and Westville fitness centers. Normal hours will resume on January 10.
Library
The library is closed December 23 through January 2.
Dining
Oak Arbor Cafe will be open December 20 through 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The dining facilities will be closed during winter recess and Oak Arbor Cafe only will reopen January 3 through 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Normal hours will resume after that.
Bookstore
The bookstore will be open December 20 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and December 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bookstore will then close the remainder of the winter recess.
Gabis Arboretum
Gabis Arboretum will be closed Thursday, December 23 through Saturday, January 1.
Office of Financial Aid
OFA will be closed during winter recess and reopen on January 3. Students will continue to see messages in Student Self-Service and view emails through their PNW account.
Bursar
Bursar will be closed during winter recess. Students may still make payments online or utilize the drop box on campus.
Housing
The Housing Office will be closed from December 23, 2021 until January 3, 2022. However, resident assistants and desk staff are still available to assist you. If you need assistance during the break, please visit or call the front desk of your building at Griffin Hall: 219-989-4150 or Peregrine Hall: 219-989-8322. They will be happy to help and connect you to the services you need.
Registrar
Registrar will be available to assist faculty with their grades on Monday, December 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, December 21 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. Grades are due at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22. The Registrar will be closed the remainder of the winter recess.
