This kid-focused program is to teach those how to plant seeds and take care of different plants for their first garden.

Native Seed Collecting at Gabis Arboretum

Join the naturalist and collect native seeds from plants in the prairie. Tips will be given on ways to improve germination of the seeds, as well as information on proper planting sites.

Railway Garden Special – One-Day Event

Lake County Operators from Wisconsin in partnership with Riley’s Railhouse from Chesterton will be bringing special trains to run on our Model G tracks in the Railway Garden. Come see them operate their unique trains that can pull up to 30 train cars!

Golf Cart Tour

Join the knowledgeable docents for a golf cart tour of Gabis Arboretum. You will visit the prairie, woodland, and wetland, while learning about the plants and animals that live there.
