DESCRIPTION:Help us with restoring our native habitat\, weeding in the garden or mulching the trails! \nCommunity Volunteer Day will take place on the second Saturday of May through November. Please dress appropriately for the weather. We will provide water and snacks. \nApply to Volunteer \nVolunteer Information \n\nNew Volunteers must APPLY TO VOLUNTEER at least 5 days before the event.\nCurrent Volunteers\, please let us know you’re coming so that we can contact you in case of cancellation.\n\nThe arboretum is only able to accept volunteers over the age of 13. \n\nParental consent forms are required for all minors under the age of 18. SUMMARY:Native Seed Collecting at Gabis Arboretum
DESCRIPTION:Join the naturalist and collect native seeds from plants in the prairie! \nTips will be given on ways to improve germination of the seeds\, as well as information on proper planting sites. \nPlease bring bags to collect your seeds. Since there will be many species to collect from\, stay organized by bringing several bags and a way to label them. \nThe program is limited to 20 participants. Meet at the Depot. \nRegister to attend \nProgram participation is free. Arboretum admission fees apply for non-members.
