SUMMARY:Perseid Meteor Shower Viewing
DESCRIPTION:Come see the annual Perseid meteor shower. Astrophotographer Bill Suriano will provide insight into why the meteor shower is an annual occurrence. He will also bring a piece of a meteor to observe. \nPeak viewing hours will be from midnight to 3 a.m. on August 12\, after the moon has set. All lights at the Arboretum will be turned off to maximize the viewing experience\, so bring a flashlight if needed. \nRegistration is not required\, but regular entrance fees apply. \nThe viewing will take place on the mounds\, past the first parking lot.
