DESCRIPTION:Will you find lost treasure in the pond? \nJoin us in using a muck net to scoop water from a pond and investigate what you find using a sieve\, hand lens and nature viewers. Find out if the pond is healthy or unhealthy. Also\, study a muskrat to discover why they live in a pond habitat. DESCRIPTION:Create Earth Art and leave it in nature for everyone to see! \nWe will look at a few examples of earthworks by well-known artists (Andy Goldsworthy\, Robert Smithson\, Nancy Holt and Christo and Jeanne Claude). We will then collect natural materials from the surrounding area (leaves\, twigs\, grasses\, etc.) and create our own “earth art\,” which we will leave in nature for others to see. \nDon’t forget to take a photo before it dissolves back into nature. \nMeet in the depot. \nRegister to Attend \nThis program is free.
