DESCRIPTION:Roots and Wonders Forest School is a four-day\, parent/guardian-accompanied\, outdoor learning experience at Gabis Arboretum for children ages 3-5. \nMeeting daily from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (July 27-30)\, children explore nature through play-based STEM\, literacy and art. \nActivities include storytelling\, counting and patterning\, nature walks\, building\, painting and hands-on discovery. DESCRIPTION:Show off your artistic skills in the prairie! \nParticipants will walk through the prairie\, taking photographs\, observing and learning about plant life in the prairie. Each participant will then create one or more drawings of plants. \nMeet in the depot. \nRegister to Attend \nThis program is free. Non-members must pay an arboretum admission fee of $10 per carload for entry.
