Campus Safety Front and Center at Purdue University Northwest with Grant from NIPSCO
Purdue University Northwest (PNW) plays host to thousands of students, staff, faculty members and visitors each day, making campus safety a top priority. The university has many safety initiatives in place and one of those programs, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), received a public safety education and training grant from the Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO).

PNW adds Women’s and Men’s Track and Field
Purdue University Northwest is proud to announce the addition of women’s and men’s track and field programs. PNW Track and Field will compete in both indoor and outdoor seasons and will officially launch in the 2022-23 academic year. The latest sport additions elevate PNW’s sport offering to 17 NCAA Division II teams.

Purdue University Northwest Adds Honey Bees to Its Campus Communities
Earlier this spring, PNW added several new housing units...for honey bees. The PNW apiaries are a first for the university and include two hives at the Westville campus and Gabis Arboretum and four hives on the Hammond campus.

Chad Patrick named GLIAC Pitcher of the Year
PNW's Chad Patrick has been selected as the 2021 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Pitcher of the Year and named to the All-GLIAC First Team. He's the first Pride pitcher in school history to earn the GLIAC Pitcher of the Year award!
