Enrollment Info

Wondering how to enroll for your benefits? How to see your current elections? What happens if you don’t enroll? See the instructions below!

Your Path to Open Enrollment Success includes getting prepared and doing a little research before making your elections for 2026.  Take a look at this decision guide to help you get ready!

  1. Go to one.purdue.edu and locate and click on the tile labeled “Benefits Open Enrollment for Faculty & Staff”.
  2. Log into BenefitFocus using your career account username and password.
    • Alternatively, you can get to BenefitFocus by clicking on the Benefits Enrollment tile within Success Factors and then selecting the BenefitFocus link.
  3. On your BenefitFocus home page, select the “Get Started” button.
  4. Review your profile information. You may update your personal email and mobile phone in the system. If other updates need to be made, please contact human resources. Click “Continue to next step” button.
  5. Review your dependent information. If you need to add anyone, click “Add Dependent”. If you need to make changes, select “Edit”. Then, click “Next”.
  6. Answer the survey questions for tobacco use, working spouse coverage and legal notice certification. Click “Save and Continue”.
  7. Now you’re on the Open Enrollment Benefits page where you’ll see all of the benefits being offered. There is a CORE section of benefits and a VOLUNTARY section of benefits.  You will not be able to submit your enrollment until you have made a decision on all of the benefit options. It’s best to follow the benefit options in order.
  8. Continue down the page selecting your coverages and making decisions for each.
  9. Once you’ve made all your elections, review them. If everything is correct, click the “Complete Enrollment” button when you are ready to submit your selections.
  10. When complete, the screen confirms you’ve completed your enrollment.
  11. You may print a summary of your current and open enrollment benefit elections. At the top of the page click on Benefits, then select Employee Summary Report. You can print the summary or save the summary as a PDF file.
