This program has been designed to help adults and their caregivers learn how to manage asthma. It covers asthma basics, recognizing symptoms and triggers, asthma action plans, and an overview of different types of asthma medications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The seven one-hour lessons include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Asthma Basics<\/li>\n<li>Asthma Triggers<\/li>\n<li>Controlling Asthma Triggers<\/li>\n<li>Asthma Medicines and Equipment<\/li>\n<li>Asthma Action Plan<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with the Asthma Team<\/li>\n<li>Asthma Management Goals<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"h4\" style=\"text-transform: none;\">Eligibility<\/p>\n<p>All benefits-eligible employees and covered dependents with the target population being those:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Newly diagnosed with asthma.<\/li>\n<li>Previously diagnosed but interested in better understanding the disease process.<\/li>\n<li>With a family member\/dependent who has been diagnosed.<\/li>\n<li>Interested in better understanding asthma management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"h4\" style=\"text-transform: none;\">Program Dates<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>March 18 \u2013 April 10, 2025\n<ul>\n<li>Tuesday and Thursday (weeks 1 and 2), 11 a.m. to noon CT<\/li>\n<li>Thursdays (weeks 3 through 5), 11 a.m. to noon CT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"h4\" style=\"text-transform: none;\">Registration<\/p>\n<p>Register via the<a href=\"https:\/\/purdue.wellright.com\/\">\u00a0Healthy Boiler portal<\/a>.\u00a0 The registration link can be found under the \u201cHealthy Boiler Workshops\u201d section on the portal\u2019s home page.
