The announcement from Chancellor Thomas L. Keon on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 about changes to the Purdue University Northwest diploma sparked a spirited dialog among the Purdue University Northwest community and around northwest Indiana. In keeping with the University’s ideals of fostering an environment celebrating free speech, individual expression and inclusivity of all viewpoints, Chancellor Keon held open conversations to gather input from the PNW community on the issue. Students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff were welcomed to attend sessions held on Oct. 4 and 5. Recordings of these sessions are posted below.
The first video is from the session held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 in Alumni Hall of the Student Union Library building on the Hammond Campus. The second video is from the session held at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5 in Hall A of The James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex on the Westville Campus.
