Recently retired Purdue University North Central professors have been conferred the rank of professor emeritus.
They are:
George T. Asteriadis, associate vice chancellor emeritus for Academic Affairs
Santaram Chilukuri, professor emeritus of Physics
Cynthia Fontaine, professor emerita of Education
Howard Jablon, professor emeritus of History
Christine H. Lehmann, professor emerita of Mathematics
Silvia Lorente-Murphy, professor emerita of Spanish
William Mack, professor emeritus of Business
Joyce Masoodi, professor emerita of Nursing
Richard L. Taylor, professor emeritus of Building Construction Management Technology
Purdue University has intended the emeritus title to honor those individuals who have produced significant contributions to the university through teaching, research or service.
In addition, emeritus status brings the faculty member additional university rights and privileges.
The PNC professors emeriti have amassed long and distinguished careers in the classroom. Each has educated thousands of students through the years and touched their lives in a variety of ways.
“Each of these professors dedicated their careers to educating our PNC students. We thank them for their commitment to their profession and the enthusiasm they brought to the classroom,” said PNC Chancellor Dr. James B. Dworkin. “Countless students have been inspired by these outstanding professors.”
