April 13 PNW event highlights career opportunities available for educators
The Purdue University Northwest and the Valparaiso University Career Centers are collaborating to host a Professional Educators Fair, Thursday, April 13, for anyone pursuing a career in teaching, educational administration, social service, and school or mental health counseling.
The fair will be held on PNW’s Westville Campus in the James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex Great Hall. Admission is free. It is open to PNW and Valparaiso University students and alumni from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A Purdue Northwest or Valparaiso University ID is required for entrance. Community members are invited to attend from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resumes for prospective employers.
School systems will be present
Representatives of public and private school systems from Northwest Indiana, South Bend, Goshen, Chicago, and parts of Michigan and Kentucky will be in attendance to discuss job opportunities.
In addition, a nationwide provider of charter school education has career opportunities for English teachers in China and behavioral health professionals working with children and young people.

Information and registration
Purdue University and Valparaiso University students may pre-register via the Handshake Network. Purdue alumni who are not part of the Handshake network may request an account by going to www.hirepnwpride.com.
Community members will be able to register at the door.
