Purdue University alumna trustee Vanessa Castagna will discuss “Lessons for Success” at 2 p.m., Wednesday (10/7) in Room 103 of Purdue University Calumet’s Gyte Building.
Castagna has worked as a retail executive and consultant for more than 38 years. The 1971 Purdue graduate will discuss how to overcome social barriers, such as gender inequality, to be successful in the workplace.
Her free presentation is hosted by Purdue Calumet’s Women in Business student organization. Women in Business is in its first year of operation as a student-run, campus organization.
“Our main focus is helping create gender equality in the workplace,” Women to Women President Jessica Loy, a junior business management major, said. “We want to give people confidence to move forward in success.”
