The Society of Innovators at Purdue Northwest (PNW) is hosting its annual event from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 at PNW’s Westville Campus, 1401 S. U.S. 421, Westville, IN.
“Celebrate Northwest Indiana Innovation!” will feature Purdue Northwest Chancellor, Thomas L. Keon; Dwayne Walker, co-founder and owner of Chicagoland Popcorn; Gary Johnson, president of Mortar Net Solutions and chair of the Board of Directors of the Society of Innovators at Purdue Northwest; Sheila Matias, executive director at the Society of Innovators; and Jason Williams, assistant director at the Society.
The goal of this year’s event is to celebrate Northwest Indiana’s innovation community by convening the makers and shakers that drive the Region forward. The Society will present its 20/20 Vision plan to further boost innovation in Northwest Indiana and will announce a new Lifetime Achievement Award to recognize an individual’s career accomplishments, legacy and impact.
The event is open to the public and will feature:
- Keynote remarks from PNW Chancellor Thomas L. Keon
- Interactive networking and activities
- 20/20 Vision presentation
- Panel discussion with the Society of Innovators at Purdue Northwest
- Presentation of a new Lifetime Achievement Award for innovation
“At our 2018 event, we announced the Society of Innovators’ partnership with Purdue University Northwest. Our team is excited to finally share all of the new programs and projects we’ve been working on that will further drive innovation across Northwest Indiana,” said Jason Williams, assistant director of the Society of Innovators at Purdue Northwest.
The event will be held in the James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex Great Hall. Individual registration is $49 and corporate tables are available. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served.
