The Purdue University Northwest Sinai Forum features Robert Costa, a national political reporter for The Washington Post, at 4 p.m. CST, Sunday, Nov. 11 in the James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex located at 1401 S. U.S. Highway 421 on the Westville Campus. The doors open at 3 p.m.
Hosting prominent speakers has been the cornerstone of the Sinai Forum’s renowned 65-year history. Executive Director Leslie Plesac said The Forum is designed to give audiences a unique opportunity to hear noted speakers and pose questions in a town-hall style format.
“Having a political journalist of Robert Costa’s caliber speak at The Forum so soon after the midterm election is a rare and exciting opportunity,” said Plesac.
A national political reporter and analyst
Besides covering the White House, Congress and campaigns for the Washington Post, Robert Costa is also the moderator of PBS’s “Washington Week,” an award-winning news discussion program, and a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. The University of Notre Dame and University of Cambridge graduate is also a regular on “Meet the Press,” “Morning Joe,” and “PBS NewsHour.”
Costa frequently travels across the country to report on how policies and politics affect Americans. His in-depth reporting on President Donald Trump, which has included dozens of interviews and feature stories, has been widely circulated. The New Republic called him “the most important reporter in the country” during the 2013 government shutdown and Washingtonian magazine has said he is “one of the next generation of journalists worth following.”
