Construction has begun on the $40 million Bioscience Innovation Building on the Hammond campus of Purdue University Northwest. The facility, which will house the university’s College of Nursing and biological sciences department, is expected to be complete in 2020.
The 68,000-square-foot building will include research labs, teaching labs and office space. The project received approval from the State Budget Committee in October. It will be the first new classroom building on the Hammond campus in more than 20 years.
