SUMMARY:Spring 21 Brain Awareness Day
DESCRIPTION:Brain Awareness Day is a global initiative to raise awareness of the benefits of brain research. Our theme this year is “Your Brain as Your Body’s Computer!” and will be held virtually over Zoom. Our free event will have a series of 10-minute neuroscience-related hands-on demonstrations about brain structures\, processing\, sensation\, perception\, computations\, from our Brain & Behavior students. \nPre-registration for classes is required and based on first come – first served as space is limited. You will need to register your class if you wish to participate as soon as possible but no later than March 26\, 2021. \nThis virtual field trip opportunity is available for 6th-8th grader classes. \nWe are also very excited to announce that Temple Grandin\, a world-renowned autism advocate\, author\, expert in animal behavior and professor at Colorado State University will be introducing our event with a 15-minute talk to the middle schoolers.
