Program Intro
Nurse executives oversee clinical care delivery, healthy work environments, resource management, quality, safety and health outcomes, as well as legal and regulatory compliance.
Our online program provides the knowledge and credentials you need to collaborate with other health professionals, advocate effectively, develop partnerships and lead healthcare in a variety of settings.
Our nurse executive program prepares you for systems-level clinical practice with a focus on:

Curriculum Overview
Begin your program by taking core master’s nursing courses focused on an expanded nursing role, including evidence-based practice and policy. From this foundation, you’ll expand your knowledge in executive specialty courses, which culminate in a clinical experience (with a preceptor of your choice) that gives you experience meeting executive practice competencies.
As a part-time student, you will take core master’s nursing courses. Full-time students can complete in less than two years.

Our College of Nursing is also home to the Indiana Center for Evidence Based Nursing Practice, an Affiliate Center of JBI.

As you implement the nurse executive core competencies, you will lead and transform the delivery of healthcare. Our program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
After meeting practice requirements, graduates of this program are prepared to sit for certification exams offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders.
