Student Research Awards
2018 PNW Days of Discovery
April 3 – Westville Campus, Dworkin Center
April 4 – Hammond Campus, Student Union Library Building
Winners of the Student Research Awards will be selected among the participants based on their abstract, research significance paragraph, and their oral or poster presentation. Three awards (first place of $400, second place of $250, and third place of $100) will be given for each of the four categories: undergraduate oral presentation, undergraduate poster presentation, graduate oral presentation, and graduate poster presentation. To be eligible for this award, you must submit your abstract and research significance paragraph by March 4th.
To be considered for Student Research Awards the student(s) will submit a research significance paragraph. This paragraph, of no more than 500 words, will include an explanation of the significance of the research, the potential benefits of this research, and the overall impact of this research on the field or community. Individual or teams of students can participant in the Student Research Competition. If a team of students are win the award the students are responsible for dividing funds as they feel appropriate.
