What is Purdue University Northwest Sinai Forum?
The Purdue University Northwest Sinai Forum is a speakers’ series. Marking its 66th season in 2019, The Forum hosts 4-6 speakers per season in the fall. The mission of The Forum is to provide affordable, exceptional programming on important issues of the day in a town hall setting.
Purdue University Northwest Sinai Forum has brought world-renowned scholars, leaders, dignitaries, artists and personalities to Northwest Indiana since 1953. Browse the impressive list here.
The Sinai Forum was founded by Sylvia Bankoff and her husband, Dr. Milton Bankoff, Rabbi Karl Richter and a small group of inspired citizens from Michigan City, IN in 1953.

Speakers for the fall series are announced in late spring each year.

Is the Sinai Forum appropriate for children?
The Sinai Forum is appropriate for children 14 years and up. High School and college students are admitted free of charge with a valid student identification card. A student RSVP is required for some programs.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets for the 2019 season go on sale the week of June 10, 2019.

Tickets can also be purchased in the bursars’ offices at Purdue University Northwest. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the following locations:
- Westville Campus: Room 127, Robert F. Schwarz Hall, 1401 S. U.S. 421
- Hammond Campus: Room 130, Charles H. Lawshe Hall, 7141 Woodmar Ave.
Tickets are no longer sold at off-site ticket outlets.
- Regular Season Series ticket: $150, includes general seating for all programs.
- Patron Season Series ticket: $275, includes reserved section seating for all programs and exclusive receptions with the speakers before each program.
- High school and college students FREE with valid student I.D.
Student RSVP for the General Kelly program only is required.

A one-time regular single program ticket for the 2019 season opener, General Kelly, is $100.
Can I purchase individual program tickets?
The PNW Sinai Forum season is sold as a series. Only under special circumstances will a single program ticket be available.
For the 2019 season a limited number of one-time regular single program tickets will be available for General Kelly for $100 each. Purchase Tickets Here
After the mid-point of the season and at the discretion of The Forum staff, individual program tickets may be offered for purchase at the door for $30.
I’ve lost my ticket, what do I do?
One ticket is used for the full season series. If your ticket is lost, notify someone at will-call and ticket table when you arrive at the program venue. Provide your name and fill out a lost ticket card.
If you are unable to attend a program, you can share your ticket with another person. If you intend to attend a future program, you will need to use the same ticket, so make sure to get your ticket back from the person you shared it with.
Where are PNW Sinai Forum programs held?
Most programs are held in the The James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex at Purdue University Northwest’s Westville Campus located at 1401 US Hwy. 421, Westville, IN.
Under special circumstances, programs may be held at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa located at 777 Blue Chip Drive, Michigan City, IN.
The 2019 opening program on Sunday, September 8 will be held at Blue Chip Casino’s Stardust Event Center, Fremont Ballroom.
What time do programs start?
All programs begin at 4 p.m. CT; doors open at 3 p.m. CT.
Patron Season Ticket holders are invited to pre-program receptions with speakers beginning at 2:30 p.m. CT.
Programs last approximately 90 minutes, with a brief reception and book signing following most programs.
What happens in inclement weather?
In circumstances of bad weather, notices about rescheduling or canceling a program will be posted on the PNW Sinai Forum website and Facebook page, as well as emailed to subscribers. Weather-related cancellations will also be announced on local radio stations throughout the region: WGN (720 AM), WBBM (780 AM), WLTH (1370 AM), WLJE (105.5 FM), WJOB (1230 AM/104.7 FM), WLPR (89.1 FM), WIMS (1420 AM), WEFM (95.9 FM), WLOI (1540 AM), WCOE (96.7 FM), WSBT (96.1 FM), WKVI (99.3 FM/1520 AM).

No, hearing assistance devices are not available for programs.
