The Office of Student Life creates diverse co-curricular experiences that fit the needs of Purdue University Northwest students via social and civic engagement opportunities. The programming initiatives build a student’s repertoire of personal and professional skills, assists with retention and student success efforts supported by the University, and develops graduates who are enriched and accomplished.
Promote- We promote student involvement on campus. Students are encouraged to get involved and connected on campus, so that they have a college experience that is filled with lasting memories.
Retain- By offering consistent programming that Purdue University Northwest students can participate in, we keep them engaged and on campus.
Ignite- Students who participate in student organizations and event programming become ignited with a passion to help others, a commitment to the University, and PRIDE for what they have accomplished academically and through extra-curricular involvement.
Develop- Students who participate in our department initiatives develop their leadership skills, learn to work as a team, and gain valuable experiences that will make them marketable in the work force. We are helping to develop students who are engaged in their community and can contribute to Northwest Indiana and beyond once they have completed their degree.
Engage- We engage students through a variety of programming such as our Alternative Spring Break and annual art exhibition. We are creating an atmosphere that is focused on connecting students to the University and the surrounding community.
