I. Call to Order, Roll Call (2 minutes); Time: 7:34 a.m.

IV. Executive Board (2 minutes per)

A. Oriana White, President

1. Water balloon fight

a) Will be held on both campuses in 30 minute intervals

2. Pool party

a) Will be held on September 25th after the Senate meeting at Dr. Rupp’s house

1. Sustainability committee

a) A new PNW committee that needs student voices/representatives

C. Aneri Patel, Chief of Staff

1. Executive Report

a) The E-board met and discussed the SGA retreat, water balloon fight, and student suggestions.

(1) Met with IUN’s student government to discuss a future collaboration about the $3.5 Trillion Budget Reconciliation Package.

2. Community Garden

a) Collaborating with the Honors College and potentially other organizations

b) E-board members met with Dr. Vanessa Quinn, Debbie Bachmann, and John Bachmann.

(1) Need to weed out the herb garden behind dorms; 6 SGA members & 7 Honors College students

D. Megan Granados, President Pro-Tempore

1. Office Records

a) Members have access with key cards for the offices and should put the sign out with the door open.

b) Record any students that may come in with complaints, concerns, and suggestions

(1) Document can be found in the shared google drive folder

2. Retreat Survey Results

a) Members can choose from two options for the Fall retreat:

(1) Sept. 25: Bonfire @6:30pm

(2) Oct. 1: PNW Hockey Game @2:30pm

b) Indiana Statehouse Retreat will take place in the Spring semester as that is when the Senate is in session

3. Dean Meetings

a) Senators need to meet with their Deans monthly

(1) Best way to get an appointment with Deans is to reach out to their administrative assistants

V. Chief Financial Officer

A. Two options: a CFO committee or an open position (dual citizenship)

VI. Director of Communications

A. Vote to turn DOC position into an DOC committee in Ad Hoc

B. The DOC position will be a DOC (Ad Hoc) committee

C. This committee will have the following responsibilities: create mass SGA emails & timelines and create social media posts & flyers for events

A. There is Google Document in the shared drive with the committees sign-ups

B. Any work done for the committees will count as outreach hours

C. Every member of SGA is required to serve on one committee

D. Vote to have chairs of committees voted in internally*

VIII. Intercampus Shuttle Service

A. Discussions:

1. It provided great benefits for students on both campuses (especially for students who do not drive)

2. Hard to carpool for students, especially international students

a) To get groceries and necessities

3. Students might be frustrated during the winter and afraid to drive on the highways

B. PNW Ride Share App (long-term solution): being built and will possibly start in the Spring

1. Free for students

2. Liabilities and safety measures are considered

3. Student drivers

IX. SGA Business

A. SGA members contract

B. SR: 21-01 (Halloween Party with Student Life and the Honors College; Oct. 28, 2021)

1. Part 1: SGA contributes medals and gifts cards for top three winners (total budget: $100)

a) Medals: $30 total

b) Gift Cards: $50 total

(1) $25 (first place), $15 (second place), $10 (third place)

c) Candy for the dorms: $20 total

2. Part 2: Movie week (in the works)

a) Could use PrideTV

B. Preferred parking

1. President Pro Tempore Granados requested that everyone working on the preferred parking resolution stay after the meeting.
