Thank You for Participating in Strategic Planning Strategy Sessions. Now, Next Steps!
On behalf of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, we thank you for your participation in the Strategy Sessions on Sept. 24 and 25. Approximately 400 people participated over the two days and provided much valuable feedback about the collected data, the ongoing strategic planning process and the strategic sessions.
For example, one person noted that “the opportunity to provide input regarding the strategic plan was the most significant outcome.” Others stated that it was valuable in “learning all the different views others have” and “feeling that our input is valued.”
Collectively, participants in the strategy sessions expressed high levels of confidence in our ability to achieve our vision by working together (average of 8.82 out of 10)
Immediate Next Steps
In the coming days, we will prepare and distribute a report that summarizes the two strategy sessions. During the week of Oct. 14 to 18, we will host three Open Forum sessions (with Zoom option) that will provide opportunities to discuss the report as well as additional opportunities to provide feedback.
Please watch for further announcements of these sessions — no RSVP required — and plan to attend. We will continue to actively seek continued feedback as we continue the planning process.
Open Forum Dates
- Monday, Oct. 14 (Hammond) – SULB 353: 4 to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 16 (Westville) – LSF 002: 1 to 2 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 18 (Hammond) – SULB 353: 2 to 3 p.m.
Working Teams – Oct. 21
We will be forming the Goal Teams to continue work on the Values and Goals action items in the next couple of weeks. If you signed up for continued participation during one of the Strategy Days, we will be in contact soon.
If you did not volunteer then, never fear—there is still plenty of opportunity! Just contact one of us and we will add your name to the list. Please hold your calendars for the afternoon of Oct. 21—we will be inviting all volunteers to an organizational meeting to get things started!
Sincerely,
Becky Stankowski, Co-Chair
