they are making investments in the future.
Enbridge is Making an Impact
Enbridge continues to support PNW engineering education through annual student scholarships; as a named sponsor of the annual PNW Enbridge Summer Engineering Camp for area middle school and high school students; and by giving a $10,000 charitable commitment to create the student Model Pipeline Competition in 2017.
“What made this experience special is that we got to engage students directly to discuss how engineering concepts they learned in class apply to the energy infrastructure that is around us and that we rely on every day.” – John Gauderman, Director, Enbridge Great Lakes Region
Indiana Harbor Belt Drives Success
Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad gave an inaugural gift to fund two half-tuition scholarships for PNW students in 2017.
“We believe it is important for a local company to invest back into the community, and we also realize education is one of the keys to creating a vibrant community.” – John Wright, General Manager, Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad
Celebrating 65 Years of Sinai Forum
The Bankoff Family Fund has allowed for Nobel Prize recipients, former heads of state, Pulitzer Prize winners, scientists, nationally recognized media personalities and famous performing artists to grace the Purdue Northwest Sinai Forum’s stage.
“I am hopeful for the future of the Forum. It continues to bring noted speakers offering insight on world events, expanding science frontiers, worldwide views of humanity and the human spirit, as it has since it began in 1953.” – Sylvia Bankoff
Alumni Dimitri Kourkouvis and Keith Blue honored their late friend and classmate, Tony Gonzalez, by starting an endowed scholarship in his name.
“Giving back to the institutions which provide us with the skill and competitive advantage to improve our lives is not a choice but an obligation.” – Dimitri Kourkouvis, EMBA ‘13
“What a way to keep a memory alive by giving opportunities to others!” – Keith Blue, EMBA ‘13
