PNW Athletics posts 3.37 GPA in Fall 2021

HAMMOND, Ind. – The Purdue University Northwest Department of Athletics announced its student-athletes produced a cumulative team GPA of 3.37 in Fall 2021.
 
It's the fourth straight semester with a 3.37 or higher as the Pride continue to excel in the classroom. The department has produced 12 straight semesters with at least a 3.0 GPA, and the Pride have also maintained an 88-percent retention rate.
 
"Congratulations to our amazing student-athletes on a great semester," Rick Costello, PNW Director of Athletics said. "I want to thank the faculty, academic services staff and coaches for rallying around the Pride of PNW to achieve excellence in the classroom."
 
The PNW tennis teams registered the highest team GPA scores for the third semester in a row.
 
Men's Tennis took top honors with a 3.81 team GPA while Women's Tennis finished with a 3.78 team GPA. The top five teams included Women's Soccer (3.54), Women's Basketball (3.52) and Women's Volleyball (3.51).
 
Overall, 71percent  of student-athletes recorded a 3.0 GPA or higher while 31 individuals earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.
