The Purdue University Northwest Department of Athletics has proudly announced that its student-athletes achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.25 in the Fall 2023 semester.

Demonstrating a remarkable commitment to academic excellence, the Pride continued to excel in the classroom with their 16th consecutive semester over a 3.0 GPA.  Equally impressive, the Pride have recorded a 96-percent retention rate.

"I am extremely proud of the student-athletes accomplishments in the classroom," said Rick Costello, PNW Director of Athletics said. "The Pride of Purdue Northwest are incredible students and have achieved academic excellence for the 16th consecutive semester.  I extend my sincere gratitude to the faculty and academic services staff for their time, support and commitment to establishing an amazing education environment for the Purdue University Northwest students."

Volleyball took top honors with a 3.66 team GPA while Women's Soccer finished with a 3.56 team GPA. The top five teams included Softball (3.49), Ice Hockey (3.44), and Women's Tennis (3.40).

"I take great pride in the achievements of our student-athletes this past semester," said Natalie Jarrett, Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services. "I am so proud of the student-athletes and the excellence they display in the classroom and in competition."

Also in the Fall 2023 semester, 30 student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA and 112 student-athletes earned a 3.5 or higher GPA.
