All about Monarch Butterflies

September 12, 2026 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Are you interested in expanding your knowledge about Monarch Butterflies?

This engaging presentation explores the fascinating world of the Monarch butterfly, one of nature’s most recognizable and inspiring species. Attendees will learn about the Monarch’s incredible long-distance migration, a journey that spans thousands of miles and showcases the butterfly’s remarkable endurance.

The presentation highlights the essential relationship between Monarchs and milkweed, explaining how this plant is critical to their survival and reproduction. Participants will also discover practical ways to support Monarch populations through gardening, including how to create butterfly-friendly habitats at home.

In addition, the Monarch lifecycle—from egg to adult—will be examined to better understand each stage of development. The session will also emphasize how individuals can make a difference as citizen scientists by observing, reporting and protecting these butterflies.

With opportunities for open discussion, attendees are encouraged to share ideas, ask questions and explore additional topics related to Monarch conservation.
