Outdoor Safety 101: Tick Prevention For All Ages

April 2, 2026 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

A trail winding through a grassy area of Gabis Arboretum.

Staying safe while being outside is essential, and one of the biggest threats is also one of the hardest to spot: ticks. These tiny pests can transmit serious illnesses if bites go unnoticed or untreated.

Two Valparaiso University students, Megan Wolf and Autumn Underwood, will be hosting a helpful, family‑friendly presentation at Gabis Arboretum to teach you how to prevent tick‑borne diseases and protect yourself outdoors.

We welcome participants of all ages to join us and learn how to stay safe, informed, and tick‑aware!
