Spring Break Pop-In at Gabis Arboretum

Looking for something to do on Spring Break? POP IN to Gabis Arboretum for some fresh air, fun activity, and a little bit of learning!
Programs are free, but non-members must pay a $10 carload admission fee.
Tree Sleuths
Tuesday, March 26, 11 a.m. to noon
Put on our thinking cap as we take a short hike to identify different types of trees. We will be looking for clues under trees, like nuts or acorns, and any other signs to help us identify what makes each tree different. We will also visit the Indiana State Champion Northern Pin Oak, the largest of its species in all of Indiana! Meet in the first paved parking lot.
Nature Bingo
Thursday, March 28, 11 a.m. to noon
Join the naturalist on an exploratory walk to try and get a “BINGO!” on your nature-themed card. We’ll look for everything from bugs to leaves. Prizes will be handed out at the end! Program begins at the Depot building.
