Spencer Cortwright from Indiana University Northwest presents in the depot building and explains the ecological importance of oaks. His presentation will focus on answering these questions:

  • Why care about oaks, their mighty stature and ecology?
  • How did oaks come to be so common and widespread in the eastern United States?
  • What problems do oaks face and what can we do to help?
