Native Legume Growing Workshop

Legumes play a special role in nature because they have a symbiotic relationship with bacteria that fix atmospheric nitrogen. The arboretum's Naturalist will teach participants how to best grown legumes from seed.

The Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest is excited to host a two-day hands-on pruning workshop. George Brenn, owner of Four Seasons Landscaping in Valparaiso and Chairman of the Indiana Accredited Horticulturist Program, will guide participants through classroom instruction and field demonstrations.
