Aurora Wymar

    Aurora W.

    What’s your educational background?

I graduated from Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota with a degree in Computational Data Science and minor in Anthropology! Ask me about data analytics or environmental anthropology!

    Professional interests:

People are my passion! I find so much fulfillment in building connections with others and have spent the last 4 years seeking out opportunities to do so, whether working in college admission, or as a park ranger for the National Park Service (yes, I got to wear the full uniform including the epic hat, hehe). I am so excited to connect and help you feel at home in your new campus community!

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I grew up on an organic apple orchard in Minnesota! The connection I felt to that land and the community that raised me is one of the reasons I am so passionate about forging connections and building healthy communities!

What do you love about PNW?

When I joined the Admissions team, I was impressed by the dedication to students! The faculty and staff advocate passionately to put student needs first. Instead of asking students to be “college ready,” we work to make our institution “student ready.”

    Best college student advice:

Be open to what the world offers you! Try new things and go the extra mile to make connections with the people and places around you. The next years of your life will be transformational, and I am so excited to help you along the way!
