Appointment of Dean of Students, Britt Hudson

Dear PNW Community,

I am pleased to share that Britt Hudson has been appointed Dean of Students at Purdue University Northwest. This role is essential to advancing our mission of fostering student success, well-being and a supportive campus environment, and Britt brings the expertise and vision needed to lead this important work.

Britt has been a valued member of the PNW community since 2019, most recently serving as Interim Dean of Students and Assistant Dean of Students. In these capacities, she has provided steady leadership for programs that deliver critical support to students, strengthened cross-campus partnerships and championed initiatives that enhance engagement, persistence and holistic care. Her leadership is rooted in an unwavering commitment to creating conditions in which all students can thrive academically and personally.

Britt holds a Master of Science in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Indiana State University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Indianapolis. Prior to joining PNW, she held key leadership roles in residence life at the University of Northern Iowa, where she oversaw large residential programs and mentored professional and student staff.

The Dean of Students Office plays a pivotal role in supporting the student experience, and Britt’s depth of experience, dedication and student-centered leadership will further strengthen our efforts to build a campus culture of care, belonging, and success.
