Faculty and Staff Training

The Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is ready to assist you with training needs. We facilitate training to support the university’s anti-harassment and equal opportunity, equal access and affirmative action policies.

Mandatory Reporter Training

If you are a mandatory reporter, you must complete the online mandatory reporter training annually. A mandatory reporter is an individual designated by the university who has the authority to remedy and institute corrective measures related to harassment.

If you have been designated a mandatory reporter, you must report all Title IX violations of sex-based discrimination and sexual harassment (including sexual violence, sexual exploitation, relationship violence, stalking) and child sexual abuse, to the Title IX Coordinator on your campus.

SEE REPORTING GUIDELINES

For assistance or questions regarding mandatory reporter training, please contact Melissa Ramos, Compliance Monitoring Coordinator, at 219-989-2337 or ramos80@pnw.edu.

Faculty Search and Screen Training

Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion staff are available to assist search committee members involved in the faculty-hiring process. Search and screen training is designed to increase  search committee members’  knowledge of best practices to ensure a fair and equitable search

Please contact the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion to schedule your search and screen training at least five business days prior to your first search committee meeting.

Diversity and Inclusion Training

An online program required for all university employees is designed to increase awareness and reiterate the importance of the concepts of diversity and inclusion as well as recognize obstacles to diversity, inclusion and equity. The goal is to expand our knowledge of multiculturalism to build an even more inclusive and equitable university community.
