Boundary Setting for Faculty: Building a Sustainable Academic Life

Boundary Setting for Faculty: Building a Sustainable Academic Life

One key to being productive is learning how to set healthy boundaries. Are there boundaries you could establish with students, colleagues, administrators, or even your commitments outside of work? What important priorities might you be neglecting because a boundary has not been clearly communicated or enforced?

One example of setting boundaries with students is scheduling assignment and online exam deadlines for times when you are available. This allows you to respond to last-minute questions or help troubleshoot technology issues, rather than being interrupted during personal or non-working hours.

Looking for more ideas? Join us for Boundary Setting for Faculty: Building a Sustainable Academic Life, where you’ll explore practical strategies for setting boundaries, managing your workload, and creating a more balanced and sustainable approach to your work.
