Karen Bishop Morris, Ph.D., is an associate professor of English at Purdue University Northwest. Karen specializes in the teaching of writing, has served in leadership roles for several national non-profits, and currently serves on the boards of St. Catherine Hospital and LFC, Inc.
In this month’s Lunch and Lead, we sit down for an exclusive fireside chat with Dr. Bishop Morris who delights in helping others tell their stories, on campus or in the community, and has devoted decades to moving individuals and organizations to the next level.
She served most recently as moderator of the PNW Series on Race, Racism & Anti-Racism, and co-host of Breaking the Glass Ceiling – a forum that highlighted senior executives, entrepreneurs and community leaders who shared their stories and the very real challenges they faced to achieve success. She formerly served as Interim Dean of the Honors College, Chair of the Department of English, Director of the University Writing Program, and Director of the University Writing Center. Dr. Bishop Morris holds a Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition from Purdue University, and is a recipient of the Purdue University 2022 MLK Dreamer Award.
