Poet/Speaker: Yosimar Reyes

Through Poetry, storytelling and Humor Yosimar Reyes brings us a fresh perspective on the lives of undocumented immigrants. In his presentation, Reyes explores the importance of undocumented immigrants being agents of their own stories. This presentation is engaging and insightful as it allows us to think of this community as more than two-dimensional but also as creators of their own futures.

Por medio de la poesía y su habilidad de relatar historias llenas de humor Yosimar Reyes nos muestra una perspectiva nueva de las vidas de nuestros inmigrantes indocumentados. Durante su presentación Reyes pone énfasis sobre la importancia de que nosotros como inmigrantes relatemos nuestra propia historia y seamos el instrumento de cambio de nuestras historias. Esta presentación nos permite vernos a nosotros mismos más allá de lo bidimensional pero también como creadores de nuestro futuro.
