Sexual Assault Awareness Month – Documentary Screening

Did you know April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month?
Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) calls attention to the fact that sexual violence is widespread and impacts every person in the community. SAAM aims to raise public awareness about sexual violence and educate communities.
This month, the Intersectional Feminist Alliance (TIFA) will screen The Invisible War (2012), a documentary about sexual assault within the US military. An estimated 1 in 3 female veterans and 1 in 100 male veterans in the VA healthcare system report experiencing Military Sexual Trauma.
