Gabis Gives Back
Join us for a weekend of giving at Gabis Arboretum! We are partnering with the Salvation Army and the Portage Food Pantry for a clothing and food drive. The weekend will also include book readings, crafts, guided hikes and golf cart tours.
Spring Ephemeral Wildflower Hike
Come join the naturalist at Gabis Arboretum and ID all the spring wildflowers we can find including trillium, bloodroot and many others.
Arbor Day Celebration
Join us for our 10th annual ceremonial tree planting, nature crafts, and a hike to learn about the arboretum’s tree collection.
Spring Ephemeral Photo Walk
Join photographer and docent, Deb Armstrong, on a guided walk to see spring ephemerals and learn how to take stunning photos on your smart phone or camera.

Prairie Walk
Come see the prairie at Gabis Arboretum one last time before it dies back this fall. You will be seeing asters, goldenrod and other late-blooming species.
Golf Cart Tour
Join the knowledgeable docents for a golf cart tour of Gabis Arboretum. You will visit the prairie, woodland, and wetland, while learning about the plants and animals that live there.
Arbor Day Tree Planting
Celebrate nature with our community as we dedicate the time to planting trees at Gabis Arboretum and PNW's Hammond and Westville Campuses.
